Artiste-chercheur, doctorant en recherche-création musique et enseignant à Paris 8 (Musidanse/CICM), Jérémie Nicolas vit et travaille à Marseille. Sa thèse débutée en 2019, intitulée Écho d’affect d’effroi et menée sous la direction d’Anne Sèdes (codirection Joseph Delaplace), est encadrée par un contrat doctoral de l’EDESTA. En 2021 son projet d’installation sonore Haraka reçoit l’aide à la création ArTeC. Accueillie à la Maison des Sciences de l’Homme Paris-Nord, cette pièce fait l’objet d’une Visite insolite du CNRS la même année. Par ailleurs il collabore depuis 2015 avec les arts plastiques et vivants, pour des projets réalisés à la maison des arts de Malakoff, au CENTQUATRE ou au Centre Pompidou.
